One Thing About Aging is You Can Lose Your Eyebrow Hairs.
.. Client Story ..
Thin sparse eyebrows that no longer lift and frame the eyes are a bother for most women usually starting from their 40s. Loosing your thick brows can really impact your confidence, especially if you’re not very good at drawing them on or have eyesight problems or an unsteady hand. So what do you do??
Let me introduce Microblading
Microblading is a form of permanent make up whereby I implant colour manually using a hand held tool and pigment. With this method I can great very natural looking brows with simulated hair strokes. These are almost undetectable as a cosmetic procedure. They’re that natural! Perfect for the more mature lady who doesn’t want to have a bold brow but wants to recreate that youthful look of framed eyes.
Sallys story-
Sally never really had a full brow for most of her life- unfortunately like a lot of us she was caught up in the brow trend that meant plucking your brows to 2 hairs thick and they never really recuperated. Sally has beautiful eyes and by having no brows they weren’t framed or exaggerated like they were once.
Why Microblading?
Sally chose Microblading as her treatment choice as she didn’t want a prominent brow and something subtle suited to her age.
As Sally has very little to start with I advised anything I did was going to appear strange at first as it would make such a big difference. With that we chose the lighter of 2 colours I had recommended as we can always go darker on the top up. I drew on the shape I felt would most suite Sally’s face and age.
Microblading Procedure ..
Once Sally was happy with the drawing we applied a topical numbing solution for 20 minutes before implanting any pigment into the skin.
With microblading I have to create an outline template that I can fill rather than a solid drawing so it’s a little more difficult for the client to be able to visualise the end result at this stage.
Hairstrokes take around 1 hour from this stage. The pigment is implanted in hair-stroke motions over 3 passes on each brow. The procedure isn’t very painful and some describe this as a cat scratch sensation at worst.
After the strokes are all in the skin I apply a pigment mask for 5 minutes to allow as much colour to absorb into the small incisions.
The final result-
Beautiful subtle hair strokes. These lift the eye and frame the eyes. Sally was super happy with these!
